History

Nameless Street was established March 15th, 2004. While the original goal of Nameless Street was to become a music publisher (record label), research and isolated experiments resulted in an uncertain future for serious investments. Due to market turmoil, Nameless Street's goals and objectives were re-evaluated to better suite the redefined music industry.

Nameless Street has operated as a booking agency, retailer, and consulting firm within the music industry with disappointing success, but never complete failure. With each disappointment, goals and objectives were refined to balance artist needs with investment returns. As such, disparities were discovered between unsigned artists and major record labels that went beyond just financial resources.

While the audience evolved in how they listen to music, artists have also evolved in how they create music. Unfortunately, not all artist have equal comprehension in disciplines beyond music - a market niche for a business that could offer record label services without requiring the typical record label contract. Therefore, Nameless Street is re-emerging as a service-oriented artist label – a record label offering selectable, specialized services without purchasing the rights to the artist's music. Instead, Nameless Street is available for hire, for specific services, for a variety of artists.

Social Responsibility

Nameless Street will adhere to these principles:

  • Philanthropy: When capable, Nameless Street will make a positive impact on the artist community.

  • Charity: Nameless Street will seek opportunities to partner with charitable organizations to promote and/or raise funds to further a humanitarian goal.

  • Conservation and Efficiency: Nameless Street will not operate in a manner that produces excessive waste, especially if options are available to operate more efficiently.

  • Ethos: Nameless Street will not participate in unlawful activities and will operate in the spirit of the law.

  • Non Noceo Artifex: Do not harm the author. Nameless Street will not operate in a manner that harms or disrupts artists or the artistic community (to include all persons, businesses, and organizations that support artists).

Nameless Street will recognize that a right to privacy is not limited to electronic data and the term consumer (as used by the FTC's “Fair Information Practice Principles”) can apply to all persons, businesses, and organizations (including bands) involved.
